Why did we invade and conquer Iraq? Because Saddam Hussein was a monster who was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction and would not hesitate to use them.

But he didn't use them. So either he didn't have them, or he wasn't monster enough to launch.

And so, we were either wrong to invade, or wmd's were a mere pretext.
